Check your remote

If you use the remote, and it doesn’t seem to be working, try to operate the unit with the control buttons on the unit. If the air handler can be operated with the buttons on it, there may be a problem with your remote. Often, it’s the batteries, so replace them to see if that corrects the problem.

Adjust your settings

If the air handler’s temperature setting isn’t higher than the current room temperature, they system won’t be triggered to run a heating cycle. Check to see that the temperature is set a few degrees higher than room temperature, and adjust if necessary. Also, make sure the unit is set to heating mode – mistakenly setting it to cooling mode will cause it not to operate.

Inspect your electrical panel

If lights on the air handler are dark, the unit may be without power. Check your home or business’s electrical panel to see that the unit’s circuit breaker has not been tripped. If it has, reset it and attempt to turn the air handler on. If the unit’s breaker continues to trip, there could be a problem with the electrical connections or wiring, which should be handled by professionals.
