Now that the kids are back in school, do you know what goes on in your home during the day? Do you want to know what the kids do after school? Before the smart home revolution, you had to hope everything at home was fine during the day. But now, Google Nest Cam has cameras to keep an eye on your home and family when you aren’t there. And Nelson Comfort can sell them to you.

How It Works

When it comes to Google Nest Cam, you have two options: the indoor or outdoor cam.

The indoor cam focuses on the inside of your home and tracks any movement. Just as the indoor cam focuses inside your house, the outdoor camera focuses on the outside of your home. Both cameras will send any alerts to your phone it deems necessary. For instance, if the camera detects a certain sound, you’ll be notified. The camera also allows a continuous live stream. So, if you’re curious about what’s going on at your house, you can open the app on your phone or internet-connected device to find out.

Both the cameras plug in to a power source, so you won’t have to worry about it running out of batteries. Additionally, the outdoor camera is weatherproof, so you won’t need to worry about rough weather affecting the camera. Also, both cameras allow you to talk, whether it’s telling the kids to do homework or telling a would-be burglar that you see them.

How to View Your Home on Camera

Once you have your cameras, setup is easy. We can install the cameras for you, or you can follow Google’s instructions. First, you’ll want to make sure both WiFi and Bluetooth on your phone are turned on. Next, you’ll download the Nest app and create an account. If you already have Nest products, you won’t need to create an account. Instead, you’ll just simply add a device to your account. Then, you’ll scan the QR code on the device, but be sure to have the device serial number and entry key stored somewhere safe in case you ever need it.

From there, you’ll want to plug in your camera and select the WiFi network you want it to run on. Finally, once the WiFi is connected, do a test stream to make sure everything is set up properly. Everything should work from there on out. Just make sure the cameras are in a spot where the WiFi receives a strong signal.

What are Other Google Nest Products?

While the Google Nest Store offers a full range of products, we offer a selection of Nest products as well. In addition to the Google Nest Cams, we sell the thermostat, smoke and carbon monoxide alarm, video doorbell, a WiFi extender, and Google Home.
