Setting the fan blades to rotate counterclockwise in the winter will create an updraft, pushing warm air back down into the living area. With your fan in use, you can utilize more of the heat produced by your furnace, keeping your home in the comfort zone without cranking up your thermostat.

Use your humidifier

The winter air is naturally drier, and using a furnace causes air to lose even more moisture. Dry air can contribute to discomfort by causing abundant static electricity along with dry skin, lips, and hair. Combat this discomfort by using a humidifier to replenish moisture in your air supply. Whole home humidifiers work with your heating system to add moisture to your heated air supply and distribute it throughout the home.

Prevent drafts
