Top 5 Air Conditioning Problems in Cincinnati

Air Conditioner Inspections

Sometimes people have the tendency to let their air conditioners run for too long. When this happens, your air conditioner can run into problems all on its own. Our first recommendation would be to call us here at Nelson. We can send out professionals to your home or business quickly and easily check your HVAC units. However, with summer being a busy time of year our second recommendation is to read these tips on what to watch out for when checking for minor HVAC and air conditioning problems on your own.

The Top Five Air Conditioner Problems to Watch Out For

One of the most common issues we see our clients run into with HVAC units is a busted sensor. This part of the unit is typically delicate and can be disturbed from insects messing with it to the dew of the machine. Although it may be hard to find, these problems do arise.

Another problem we see is that the refrigerant hose can sometimes be blocked. With this blockage, it can cause the hose to burst or leak. When this happens, it will burst and leak all over the unit. This problem leads to air blowing out of the unit, but no cold air can form.

Electrical problems can be caused by many different things in your HVAC unit. Whether its from a burst causing a short or a fuse being switched, these problems are common and can largely affect your unit. There really is only one way to check for this threatening HVAC problem. You must turn off the power all together. Then you must turn it back on. If your unit does not turn back on, give Nelson Comfort a call right away.

Drainage problems are yet another occurrence to watch out for. This problem can frequently arise and is not uncommon. Again, if a hose becomes blocked it can cause the refrigerant to extend on to the unit rather than through the tube. Make sure when checking your HVAC unit to check for blockages.
